In a strong statement reflecting unity and national progress, senior PPP leader and Member National Assembly Sehar Kamran has welcomed the recent decisions made by the Council of Common Interests (CCI). She extended warm congratulations to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for his role in advocating for water rights and agricultural policies.
"The formation of a committee to shape water and agriculture policies with the consultation of all provinces is a positive and timely step," said Sehar Kamran.
She emphasized that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari deserves praise for his consistent and principled stance on the critical issue of the Sindh River canals, highlighting that he has effectively represented the public's concerns on this matter.
Sehar Kamran credited Bilawal Bhutto’s principled position as the key reason why the CCI convened on the pressing matter of water distribution in Sindh.
She further stated, "The PPP has once again proven its dedication by defending the 1991 Water Accord and the rights of Pakistan’s farmers."
In her statement, she reiterated that the Pakistan Peoples Party has shown that national consensus is the only path to a united Pakistan.
She also commended Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for fostering consensus on crucial national issues like water and national security.
"National unity and collective resolve are essential for the development of the country," Sehar Kamran asserted.
She concluded by saying, "The CCI's declaration is clear evidence that the real strength of Pakistan lies in its people."
