The Pakistan Business Council (PBC) Dubai held its Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) 2025 at a renowned hotel in Dubai, showcasing professionalism, unity, and strong community engagement. The event witnessed the participation of numerous distinguished members from the Pakistani business community based in the UAE.

The evening began with a networking session, followed by a recitation of the Holy Quran. The playing of national anthems of both the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan infused the gathering with a sense of pride and patriotism.

Chairman of PBC Dubai, Mr. Shabbir Merchant, warmly welcomed attendees and reviewed the Council's accomplishments and future plans. He reaffirmed the Council's mission of empowering the Pakistani business diaspora and strengthening community bonds.

Vice Chairman Mr. Kamran Ahmad Riaz presented a detailed activity report, while Mr. Iftikhar Ali Tatlah, Vice Chairman Events & Media, highlighted the Council’s digital footprint through events, media engagement, website development, newsletters, and YouTube coverage. He further announced a grand Gala Dinner and Awards Show to be host


ed at the end of 2025.

Mr. Iftikhar Ali Tatlah emphasized,

“The PBC Dubai media platform is not just an information channel — it reflects our dedication, professionalism, and unwavering connection with Pakistan.”

 

Vice Chairman Finance, Mr. Noor Kareem Afridi, shared the Council’s financial transparency and positive fiscal performance through his report. Secretary General Mr. Khurram Khawaja introduced newly added features in the Council’s mobile app, designed to improve accessibility and member services.

The AGM also featured an open Q&A session, enabling members to share suggestions and queries, which were acknowledged and appreciated by the board.

Prominent attendees included Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Dawood, Mr. Mustafa Hemani, Mr. Rashid Ashraf, Mr. Abdul Rasheed Chughtai, Mr. Saleem Tabani, Mr. Iqbal Tabani, Mr. Sultan Mahmood, Mr. Ejaz Ahmed, Mr. Muhammad Naeem, Mr. Irfan Ahmad Riaz, Mr. Mustafa Altaf, Mr. Makhdoom Raees Qureshi, Mr. Ashraf Gul, Mr. Ali Rao, Mr. Nafees Ahmad, Mr. Aziz Ali Akbar, Mr. Tabish Zaidi, Mr. Syed Saleem Akhtar, Mr. Muhammad Shoaib, Mr. Shazil Merchant, and Mr. Sohail Amir Ghumman.

Esteemed female members in attendance included Ms. Anam Baqai, Ms. Sadia Abbasi, and Ms. Hina Naeem.

Newly welcomed members were awarded official membership certificates. These included Mr. Tahir Naqash, Mr. Muhammad Ali Abdul Ghaffar, Mr. Khizr Mehdi, Mr. Muhammad Nauman Khan, Mr. Abdul Raheem, Mr. Shafiq Hussain, Mr. Muhammad Ali Nagi, and Mr. Naveed Mushtaq.

The event concluded with a grand dinner, offering attendees a chance to build stronger community and business ties.
