The ministers emphasized the importance of showing the true, compassionate face of Islam to the world, rather than a distorted version that undermines the faith. They also noted that Islam values human life and that provocative actions driven by religious extremism bring shame to the nation and mockery from its enemies. The government will not allow such behaviors to proliferate and will take legal action against any group or individual making such threats.
Federal Minister of Defense added that the country cannot endure religious, political, or economic discord, and that issuing fatwas against the head of the judiciary brings international shame to the nation.
